Biography
Cynthia Harris was born and raised in eastern Kentucky in the Appalachian Mountains. After high school she entered the Women's Army Corps (WACs) and spent several years in the military serving at Fort Jackson, South Carolina; Nuremberg, Germany; and Fort Riley, Kansas. Cynthia is married and the mother of one adult son, and a grandmother of three - two boys and one girl.
Cynthia was dubbed "the writer" in high school because of writing and telling stories. She wrote the senior class poem that she presented at the graduation breakfast.
While Cynthia has several short stories that are unpublished in her writing file, she has been published in the "Eye on Kansas" online magazine, in "The Riley Countian" newspaper, as a contributing author in an academic history, co-author of "Hometown Appetites," and editor of the upcoming book, "love & Kisses.
