Biography:
I am the new author of the Legends series starting with Legends of Arboria: Saga of the Seven Keys. I really never figured myself to ever become a writer. I'm an artist by inheritance and prefer the visual piece over the written but I did always have a penchant for elaborate machinations and fanciful imaginative worlds created in my mind while I played outside as most children do. I really began exercising my creative writing muscles my first semester in college when I had to take Rhetoric and Composition. The professor made the rather astute statement the first day of class that no freshman ever had or ever will get an A on their first paper in his class. Challenge accepted. I wrote a completely original and fictitious story about a secret martial arts tournament. Record broken. I was the first freshman A. It was about that time that I had the idea. It came out of nowhere on day while talking to my friends - I think about stargate or something - and it wouldnt go away like most of my strange thoughts and ideas. I would call it divine inspiration. It just kept coming back to me and growing and
eventually I had to start writing it down.
When I moved on to my degree classes, I had to take art history where we had to do topic based papers. I always hated research papers so, in an effort to be a rebel, I wrote a piece of creative historical fiction instead of the specified assignment. To the exact opposite of what I thought the reaction would be, the professor loved it. There it started. I did two other papers of the like, both
of which will end up being novels eventually, before I graduated and also got back to this novel-in-the-works over the remaining two years of schooling. I got married and turned 33 right before I graduated and moved to Austin, Texas. More recently, though, I found out that Im going to be a father by February of next year which totally changed my whole outlook on life. Now I need this career path
to support my family and not just me. Thats my motivation.
