As it was her mission: 1) to raise awareness, and 2) diversify the message about this disease, she moves to target the Hispanic Ethnicity Group. Therefore, her works’ creation and second novel will be presented in bilingual form and titled, Second Edition – A Bilingual Story, Not a Blueprint/It’s the Shoe Print That Matters / The Big “C”: A Weapon of Death II.
Presently, this author is working on her second novel. Once complete, the reader will wonder – Could this journey possibly sound like THEIRS or someone they know? She is originally from the state of Illinois.
Through their journey, they traveled from church-to-church praying for God to spare her daughter’s life and remove all cancer cells. Their prayers were heard ‘cause God took away the cancer; and it was his choice to bring her home as well. A decision which kept the Author’s feelings disheartened.
After her daughter’s homecoming, the Author admits to alienating her faith. She harbored emotions of anger, and struggled with those ill-feelings. Realizing it wasn’t the righteous place to be ─ she’s grown
tremendously and moved on to relinquish that internal state. And she’s thankful to reveal: those days of her symbolic, outlandish actions are “history.” This Author has gone through a full series of therapeutic processes. Since being awarded her petition to receive her Daughter’s name (as her middle name), the Author has relocated to another state. She says, “I am grateful to have made it through my journey — for everyday has been a new Life. But, what’s most rewarding is: To have taken on a new you in a
new beginning!”
She continuously embraces the American Cancer Society in her quest to reach out. It is through her role in volunteering and being a participant in various walk-a-thons for cancer she demonstrates a passion for the cure.
