Charlie Gregory Bio & Contact Information
Charlie Gregory was born in Manchester, England, in 1934 and went to sea when he was 16. Time spent as a trawler-man during this period produced the autobiographical story, Sailing with Hunters.
After coming ashore he did a spell in the army and saw active service in Cyprus. After leaving the army he served in Marine Coastal Radio Stations, first as the under manager of Wick Radio in Scotland, and then as the manager of Northforeland Radio in Kent.
Promoted to Ship Inspector, he became the Principal Radio Surveyor for the Bristol Channel.
The time he spent in Wick Radio inspired the suspense thriller, The Under Manager; and his experience as a marine surveyor gave rise to the adventure and action suspense thriller, The Devil’s Register.
All his books fall into the sea story genre.
He is married with three adult children and lives in Wales with his wife, Elizabeth.
