the daily THANKS http://www.amazon.com/dp/1492321516/
Synopsis: Caught in the midst of a society in excess, we oftentimes get sucked into a comparison game with those whom society deems “successful” including our own family, our friends, our colleagues and public figures. Material possession, fame, influence, and beauty seem to be the standard of success, and in attempting to keep up with these ideals, we tend to lose sight of all the blessings we currently enjoy.
Taking a step back and really looking at our lives, we find that riches surround us in the form of our friends, our health, our access to modern technology, and etc. If we take the time to assess our lives in comparison with those less fortunate than us, we will find that there are countless things to be thankful for.
This book aims to be a daily reminder of such blessings. Beautifully illustrated, each entry conveys this simple message: be thankful for the bountiful joy with which you are blessed. Don’t lose sight of the happiness before you in pursuit of gaining someone else’s apparent success and joy.
the daily POWER http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00C8SQEDE/
Synopsis: Blessed are we with this one life. What we choose to do with it is up to us, but we do have a choice. Happiness, success and health don’t just meander into our lives. We have to make a conscious decision to make them a part of us, to seek them with relentless zeal.
When I’m not writing or developing business ideas, I spend my time as an engineer at an aerospace company. People often ask me how I can maintain such enthusiasm in that stressful environment. It’s no magic elixir. It’s simple: I choose to be. I couple this choice with what I like to call the daily power or daily pep talk. All it takes is a 5 minutes mental rally where I amp myself up for the day.
This book contains some of the things I try to infuse into my mental state before work. I hope that you will gain momentum from reading them and develop your own daily power habit.
You may use this book to your liking, but it is not meant to be consumed in a single sitting. Instead, use it to start your day, whenever you need a mental boost, or whenever you are depleted and feel defeated. Read one, two, or as many as you feel is necessary to get back to prime time. Let them ignite your fire.
No matter what happens, just remember that you have a choice.
